I absolutely love Saturdays. Any kind really... The kind where all day involves some type of scheduled event; soccer games, birthday parties, baby showers, family dinners...the kind that involve cleaning and replenishing your house with fresh foods or an newly organized closet... the kind where you wonder aimlessly from shop to shop looking for everything and nothing in particular... the kind with long days in the yard that end with a cold beer and a sunset... the kind with long car rides and snacks with smiles and multiple rest stops... and the kind today was. I got to spend the day at the studio with my wonderfully talented husband working on our newest venture. Everyone we encountered was friendly and kind and we were friendly and kind in return. We shared a pizza and read a beautifully scripted account of summer travels that felt like a vacation, and coffee watching big, flat, floating flakes swirl and collect outside the studio windows. Truly an amazing testament to fantastic life I am afforded. Did I mention I got my nails done, too? Why every person in the world does not partake in this pampering from time to time is beyond me. I absolutely love it. Oh, and classic rock... Zeppelin, The Steve Miller Band, apparently Guns and Roses, and Thin Lizzy to name a few.
